As a key driver of this expansion, the Global New Sales team plays a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, forging meaningful relationships, and helping clients unlock the value of Ontra’s solutions.

With a newly expanded focus on investment banking sales and a go-to-market (GTM) strategy built for an AI-powered future, the team is driving growth at every turn. We spoke with three team members—Leidy Valencia, Tyler Sandifer, and Ollie Hall—to get an inside look at how they make it happen.

A day in the life of an Ontra New Sales team member

Ask Leidy, Account Director, New Sales, to describe a typical day at Ontra, and she’ll tell you: “There is no such thing!” Each day brings new challenges, conversations, and opportunities. From early morning planning sessions to back-to-back calls with customers, the role requires agility and curiosity.

To ensure she’s prepared to anticipate and address customer needs, Leidy approaches every conversation thoughtfully, asking questions like: “How can Ontra make their life easier? What problems can I solve for them? What questions will they want to know about Ontra?”

“My day is spent trying to issue-spot, problem-solve, and expand Ontra’s reach,” Leidy shares. Whether researching industry trends, leveraging her legal background, or collaborating with Ontra’s Customer Success team, every interaction is an opportunity to identify customers who will benefit from Ontra’s transformative solutions.

Ontra’s expansion into investment banking

Ontra’s reputation for excellence has long been established among the world’s top financial institutions. Now, with the addition of a dedicated Investment Banking Sales team, the company is well-positioned to expand even further.

For Tyler, Principal Account Director, Investment Banking, who is helping to build this new vertical, the excitement lies in the opportunity to scale from a position of strength. “Our customers and partners can confidently recommend us to their clients,” he says. “When you pair that level of credibility with the right product at the right price, you have a recipe for growth.”

That growth extends beyond revenue and customer relationships to career progression. As Tyler puts it, “As you progress in your role at Ontra, you are given more opportunity to take ownership of key aspects of the business.” Sales team members are empowered to lead strategic relationships and collaborate across teams, driving business growth and shaping Ontra’s overall trajectory.

Whether it’s sharing insights from different markets, aligning strategies across time zones, or working through complex challenges as a team, collaboration is at the core of Ontra’s sales approach.
