Dr. Megan Ma is the Executive Director of the Stanford Legal Innovation through Frontier Technology Lab (liftlab). Her research focuses on the use and integration of generative AI in legal applications and the translation of legal knowledge to code, considering their implications in contexts of human-machine collaboration.

Scott Loughlin, Global co-lead of the Hogan Lovells Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity practice, is a leading privacy and cybersecurity lawyer with more than 20 years of experience advising global companies on complex data challenges, particularly those driven by emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.

Adam Morrison is a Senior Legal Associate at Park Square Capital. His work focuses on fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance.

Jenni Basch is the Senior Assistant General Counsel at Ontra, where she advises the business on a broad range of matters, including strategic transactions, partnerships, product development, and data privacy.
Dr. Megan Ma is the Executive Director of the Stanford Legal Innovation through Frontier Technology Lab (liftlab). Her research focuses on the use and integration of generative AI in legal applications and the translation of legal knowledge to code, considering their implications in contexts of human-machine collaboration. Her particular focus is on questions of legal education and the future of practice in light of new technological developments. She also teaches courses in computational law at the Law School and Department of Computer Science.
Dr. Ma is also currently an Advisor to the PearX for AI program, Editor-in-Chief for the Cambridge Forum on AI, Law, and Governance, the Managing Editor of the MIT Computational Law Report, and a Senior Research Affiliate at Singapore Management University in their Centre for Digital Law. Megan received her PhD in Law at Sciences Po and was a lecturer there, having taught courses in Artificial Intelligence and Legal Reasoning, Legal Semantics, and Public Health Law and Policy. She has previously been a Visiting PhD at the University of Cambridge and Harvard Law School respectively.
Scott Loughlin, Global co-lead of the Hogan Lovells Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity practice, is a leading privacy and cybersecurity lawyer with more than 20 years of experience advising global companies on complex data challenges, particularly those driven by emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. A recognized thought leader, Scott created AI Issue Spotting – A Mastery Series for Lawyers, a multimedia series helping legal professionals navigate AI’s legal and regulatory implications across areas such as copyright, contracting, litigation, and digital health. He also hosts The Data Chronicles, Hogan Lovells’ flagship podcast on data protection and cybersecurity, which reaches more than 10,000 listeners weekly.
Adam Morrison is a Senior Legal Associate at Park Square Capital. His work focuses on fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience in launching and managing fund vehicles and has supported the firm’s international expansion and cross-border operations since joining in 2018.
Jenni Basch is the Senior Assistant General Counsel at Ontra, where she advises the business on a broad range of matters, including strategic transactions, partnerships, product development, and data privacy. In her role, she works closely with company leadership to help Ontra grow and scale effectively and responsibly, providing practical, business-minded legal guidance across the organization. Before joining Ontra, Jenni was an M&A associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Cooley LLP, and later served as a member of the in-house legal teams at Casper and Peloton.
